Tomato Chicken Gravy

Ingredients:

Chicken 1/2 kg

Curd 2 tsp

Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp

Lemon juice 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder. 1/2 tsp

Tomato 2

Green chilly 3

Poppy seeds 2 tsp

Chilly powder 1 tsp

Pepper powder 1 tsp

Cumin powder 1 tsp

Coriander powder 1 tsp

Garam masala 1 tsp

Oil 2 tsp

Salt for taste.

Coriander leaves for garnishing.


Method:

Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, lemon juice, curd and salt for 1 hour.

Grind tomatoes, poppy seeds, green chilly together and keep aside.

In the pan, pour oil, add marinated chicken pieces and cover cook for 5 to 10 mins.

Add pepper powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chilly powder , salt and mix it well.

Add ground tomato paste, garam masala , little water and cover cook the chicken for 10 to 15 mins.

Once the chicken is fully cooked & oil separates, switch off the flame.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice /chappathi.
