Pepper Mutton Curry

Ingredients:

Boneless Mutton 1/2 kg

Chilly powder 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp

Oil 4 tsp

Tomato 1

Green chilly 2

Mint leaves few( 5 to 8 leaves)

Coriander leaves few ( 5 to 8 leaves)

Onion 1

Curry leaves little

Cumin powder 1/2 tsp

Pepper powder 1 tsp

Salt for taste.

Curry leaves and coriander leaves for garnishing.


Method:

Pressure cook the mutton with turmeric powder ,chilly powder ,ginger garlic paste ,1 tsp oil ,little salt, 2 cups of water for 4 to 5 whistles or until soft.

Slice onions and keep aside.

Grind tomato ,green chilly ,coriander leaves mint leaves and keep aside.

In the pan, pour 3 tsp oil ,add sliced onions and curry leaves,

Fry till onion becomes translucent.

Add tomato paste , mix it well.

Add cooked mutton with stock ,salt and cover cook for 10 mins.

Once it becomes semi gravy ,add cumin powder , cook for 2 mins.

Add pepper powder ,mix it well.

Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves ,switch off the flame.

Enjoy the Pepper Mutton Curry with hot steamed rice.
