Telangana Mutton Gravy

Ingredients:

Mutton 1/2 kg

Onion 1

Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Chilly powder 2 tsp

Coconut milk 1/2 cup

Oil 4 tsp

Salt for taste


Roast and grind:

Coriander seeds 2 tsp

Poppy seeds 2 tsp

Cumin seeds 1 tsp

Shajeera 1/2 tsp

Star anise 1

Cinnamon stick 1

Cardamom 2

Cloves 2


Method:

Roast all the items mentioned above.grind into powder and keep aside.

In the cooker, pour oil, add chopped onions, cook till it becomes translucent.

Add turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and mix it well.

Add cleaned mutton and cover cook for few mins.

Once water evaporated, add chilly powder, salt, ground powder and mix it well.

Add coconut milk ,2 cups of water and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles or until soft.

If you have more water, boil for some more mins.

Garnish with coriander leaves ,Mutton gravy is ready to serve with rice/chappathi.
