Mutton Chukka Varuval

Ingredients:

Boneless Mutton 1/2 kg

Tomato 1

Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Pepper powder 1 tsp

Curry leaves little

Gingelly Oil 3 tsp

Salt for taste.


For Powder:

Cinnamon stick 1

Cloves 2

Coriander seeds 1 tsp

Pepper 1 tsp

Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

Poppy seeds 1/2 tsp

Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp

Red chilly 5


Method:

Pressure cook mutton with 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt for 5 to 6 whistles or until soft.

Fry all the items in the powder section in the pan for 2 mins, and grind into powder.

In the pan, pour 3 tsp of oil, add ,curry leaves, ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute.

Add chopped tomatoes, salt and cook for 3 mins.

Add mutton with stock, ground powder, little salt and cook for 10 mins.

Fry till all masala are coated well on the mutton.

Last add some more curry leaves, pepper powder, mix it and switch off the flame.

Mutton chukka varuval is ready to serve with hot steamed rice.
