Jeera Rice

Ingredients:

Basmati Rice 2 cups

Jeera(Cumin seeds) 2 tsp

Ghee 2 tsp

Bay leaves 2

Green chilly 2

Oil 1 tsp

Mint leaves &

Coriander leaves for garnishing

Salt for taste.


Method:

Boil 5 cups water with 1 tsp oil and required salt.

Add washed basmati rice and cover cook for 10 to 15 mins,

Once rice is cooked , drain the excess water & keep aside.

In the pan, pour ghee, add bay leaves, cumin seeds and fry for few seconds.

Add chopped green chilly and fry it.

Add basmati rice and mix it gently.

Garnish with chopped coriander and mint leaves.

Easy Jeera Rice is ready to serve hot.
