Hyderabadi Mutton Curry

Ingredients:

Mutton 1/2 kg

Onion 1

Star anise 1

Cloves 3

Cinnamon 1

Cardamom 2

Oil 3 tsp

Kasthuri Methi for garnishing

Salt for taste.


For marination:

Curd 2 tsp

Mint leaves little

Coriander leaves little

Coriander powder 1 tsp

Green chilly 2

Cumin powder 1/2 tsp

Garam masala 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Salt little


Red paste:

Red chilly 6 to 7

Poppy seeds 1 tsp

Ginger 1 inch

Garlic 6 to 7


Method:

Marinate the mutton with marination items for 1 hour.

Grind all the items in red paste column with water and keep aside.

In the pressure cooker, pour oil, add star anise ,cloves ,cinnamon and fry it.

Add sliced onions, cook till it becomes translucent.

Add red paste ,cook for 5 mins.

Add marinated mutton , salt and mix it well.

Cover cook for 5 mins ,then add 2 cups of water , pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.

Last garnish with kasthuri methi and Hyderabadi mutton curry is ready to serve hot.
