Chickpeas Sundal

Ingredients:


Chickpeas 1 cup

Oil 2 tsp

Mustard seeds 1 tsp

Urad dal 1 tsp

Channa dal 1/2 tsp

Asafoetida powder little

Red chilly 3

Curry leaves little

Onion 1/2

Shredded Coconut 1/2 cup

Salt for taste


Method:

Soak Chickpeas in the water 5 to 6 hours or overnight.

Pressure cook the chickpeas for 4 to 5 whistles or it becomes soft.

In the pan, pour oil, add mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal ,curry leaves ,red chilly and fry it.

Add chopped onions, asafoetida powder and fry for few mins.

Add coconut ,salt and fry for few mins.

At-last add cooked chickpeas ,mix it well and switch off the flame.
