
Ingredients:
Chicken 1/2 kg
Onion 1
Tomato 1
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Green chilly 2
Curry leaves 10
Coriander leaves little
Mint leaves little
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Oil 2 tsp
Salt for taste
For White masala:
Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Poppy seeds 1 tsp
Grated coconut 3 tsp
Cashew nuts 10
Method:
Grind all white masala items with little water ,make a smooth paste and keep aside.
In the pan, pour oil, add sliced onion, cook till it becomes translucent, golden color.
Add chopped tomatoes, cook till it becomes soft and juicy,
Add ginger garlic paste and fry for few seconds.
Add chilly powder and cook for 2 mins
Add Coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilly, curry leaves and mix it well.
Add Coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt ,1/2 cup of water and cook for 5 mins.
Add cleaned chicken, mix it well.
Add 1 cup of water and cover cook the chicken for 10 to 15 mins.
Now add ground paste and 1/2 cup of water, cook for 5 more mins.
Switch off the flame, once masala is cooked well and oil separates.
Roadside Chicken Salna is ready to serve hot with parotta,idly or chapathi.
