Chicken Karahi

Ingredients:


Chicken 1/2 kg

Cinnamon 1

Star Anise 1

Cloves 2

Garlic 5

Ginger 1 inch

Tomato 3

Kasmiri chilly powder 1 tsp

Coriander powder 1 tsp

Cumin powder 1 tsp

Pepper powder 1 tsp

Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp

Green chilly 2

Curd 2 tsp

Kasthuri methi little

Oil 3 tsp

Coriander & ginger for garnishing

Salt for taste.


Method:

Pound ginger and garlic and keep aside.

Cut tomato to half and keep aside.

In the pan, pour oil ,add cinnamon, star anise, cloves ,fry it.

And cleaned chicken, cook for 5 to 10 mins.

Add salt ,pound ginger & garlic , mix it well.

Add 1/2 cup of water, place half cut tomatoes in the top and cover cook for 5 mins.

Remove tomato skin which will come easily, mash it well.

Add kasmiri chilly powder, coriander powder ,cumin powder, pepper powder , garam masala, slit green chilly ,mix it well.

Add curd and cover cook for 15 to 20 mins.

Add some crushed kasthuri methi and mix it well.

Garnish with Coriander leaves & julienne ginger.

Chicken Karahi is ready to serve with Naan/Roti/Chappathi.
