Chicken Gravy 4

Ingredients:

Chicken 1/2 kg

Onion 1

Tomato 2

Staranise 1

Cloves 2

Cardamom 1

Cinnamon stick. 1

Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp

Chilly powder 1 tsp

Coriander powder 1 tsp

Turmeric powder. 1/4 tsp

Garam masala 1/2 tsp

Coconut milk 1/2 cup

Oil 2 tsp

Salt fo taste

Coriander leaves for garnishing


For masala paste:

Shallots 10

Green chilly 1

Poppy seeds 1 tsp

Fennel seeds 1 tsp

Black pepper 1/2 tsp

Mint leaves 5 to 7

Cashew 7 to 8

Oil 1 tsp


Method:

In the 1 tsp oil, fry all the items in the masala paste column and let it cool down.

In the blender, grind all the items with little water , ground into paste and keep aside.

In the cooker, pour 1 tsp of oil, add cloves, star anise ,cardamom ,cinnamon stick ,chopped onions and fry it becomes golden brown.

Add ginger garlic paste, fry it.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook till it becomes soft.

Add chilly powder ,coriander powder ,garam masala ,turmeric powder ,salt and fry for 2 mins.

Add chicken, cook for 2 mins .

Add masala paste, coconut milk and 1 cup water and mix it well.

Pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.

At-last garnish with coriander leaves and Chicken gravy is ready to serve with idli/dosa/parrotta.
