Channa Masala

Ingredients:

Chickpeas 2 cup

Oil 2 tsp

Mustard seeds 1 tsp

Urad dal 1 tsp

Curry leaves little

Salt for taste

Coriander leaves for garnishing


Dry roast and grind:

Red chilly 4

Cumin seeds 1 tsp

Coriander seeds 1 tsp

Poppy seeds 1 tsp

Fennel seeds 1 tsp

Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp

Garlic 2


Method:

Soak the chickpeas in the water over night.

Pressure cook the chickpeas with water for 3 to 4 whistles/until soft and keep aside.

Dry roast all the items grind column.

With little water and grind into paste and keep aside.

In the pan, pour oil, add mustard seeds ,urad dal ,curry leaves and fry it.

Add ground masala and 1/2 cup of water and cook for 5 mins.

Add chickpeas, salt and cook for 10 mins /water absorbed full and channa is dry .

Switch off the flame and Garnish with coriander leaves.

Now Channa masala is ready to serve with chapatti/Rice.

This is my mom recipe ,it is easy to make and tastes good.
