
Ingredients:
Basmati rice 2 cups
Mushroom 1/2 kg
Onion 1
Tomato 2
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Chilly powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Biryani Masala 1/2 tsp(optional)
Curd 2 tsp
Biryani leaf 1
Cloves 5
Cardamom 3
Cinnamon stick 1 inch
Star Anise 1
Coconut milk 1 cup
Green chilly 3
Mint leaves 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
Ghee 2 tsp
Salt for taste.
Method:
Soak 2 cups of rice in 3 cups of water for 25 to 30 mins in the Rice cooker.
Wash and Chop Mushroom and keep aside.
In the pan, add ghee, biryani leaf ,cloves, cardamom ,cinnamon stick, star anise ,and sliced onion and fry till it becomes translucent.
Add ginger garlic paste, chopped tomatoes ,cook until tomatoes are soft and juicy.
Add chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, biryani masala, little water and mix well.
Add mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies and fry it.
Now curd , mushroom ,salt ,cook for 10 mins or till the raw smell is gone.
Last add coconut milk and cook for 2 mins ,switch off the flame.
By this time ,the rice soaked for 20 mins, switch on the rice cooker.
Add mushroom gravy to boiling rice with required salt , mix it once & close the lid.
After 30 mins( depending upon the rice cooker),The Mushroom Biryani is ready to serve.
