
Ingredients:
Paneer 200g
Green peas. 1 cup
Onion 1
Tomato 2
Green chilly. 3
Ginger garlic paste. 1 tsp
Cumin seeds. 3/4 tsp
Chilly powder. 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Turmeric powder. 1/4 tsp
Ghee 2 tsp
Oil for frying
Salt for taste.
Method:
Cut the paneer into cubes and keep aside.
Grind tomatoes and keep aside.
Chop onion, green chilly and keep aside.
Fry paneer in the oil for 2 mins and ,put it in the water bowl.
In the pan, pour ghee, once it melted, add cumin seeds ,fry it.
Add chopped onions, green chilly and cook till becomes golden brown.
Add ginger garlic paste ,mix it well.
Add chilly powder, coriander powder ,turmeric powder ,fry it well.
Add 1 cup of water, cook for 2 mins.
Add tomato paste ,salt and cover cook for 5 mins.
Add green peas, paneer ,mix it well .
Add 1 cup of water and cover cook for 5 to 10 mins.
Switch off the flame, once oil separates and become semi gravy.
Punjabi Style Matar Paneer is ready to serve with Jeera rice/Roti/Chappathi.
