Dal Curry

Ingredients:

Toor dal 1/2 cup

Onion 1

Tomato 1

Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp

Curry leaves 10

Green chilly 1

Red Chilly 2

Chilly powder 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Asafoetida powder 1/4 tsp

Coriander leaves little

Butter 1 tsp

Salt for taste.


Method:

Wash and Pressure cook toor dal with 1 1/2 cup water for 3 to 4 whistles.

In the pan, melt butter, add mustard seeds, once it crackled ,add cumin seeds and fry.

Add chopped onions, cook it becomes translucent.

Add ginger garlic paste ,curry leaves, green chilly ,red chilly and fry it.

Add chilly powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida powder, cook till raw smell gone.

Add chopped tomatoes ,cook it becomes soft.

Add cooked dal, salt and 1 cup water and cover cook for 10 mins.

Last Garnish with coriander leaves,Dal curry is ready to serve with rice.
