Channa Masala -2

Ingredients:

Cooked Channa 1 cup

Bay leaves 3

Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp

Hing 1/4 tsp

Kasmiri chilly powder 1 tsp

Garam masala 1 tsp

Oil 2 tsp

Salt for taste

Coriander leaves for garnishing


For Paste:

Onion 1

Tomato 1

Red Chilly 3

Black pepper 1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

Coriander seeds 1/2 tsp

Cardamom 2

Star anise 2

Cinnamon stick 1

Cloves 2

Oil 1 tsp



Method:

In the pan, pour 1 tsp of oil, all spicy items, onion ,fry for few mins.

Add tomato, red chilly, black pepper, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fry for few mins..

Once masala is cooked, switch off the flame,Let it cool down.

Now grind the mixture to paste with little water and keep aside.

In the pan, pour 2 tsp of oil ,add bay leaves and fry it.

Add kasmiri chilly powder and fry for few seconds.

Add hing, ginger garlic paste, garam masala powder ,salt and fry for few seconds.

Add ground mixture, cook for 10 mins until the gravy thickens.

Add cooked channa, salt ,required water and let it boil in medium flame.

Now Punjabi Spl Channa Masala is ready to serve with Poori or Bhatura.
