Channa Gravy

Ingredients:

Chickpeas 1 cup

Onion 1

Tomato 1

Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

Chilly powder 1 tsp

Coriander powder 1 tsp

Cumin powder 1/2 tsp

Garam masala 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Tamarind paste 1/4 tsp

Oil 2 tsp

Salt for taste

Coriander leaves for garnishing


Method:

Soak the chickpeas in overnight and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.

Grind tomato into paste and keep aside.

In the pan, pour oil ,add cumin seeds and chopped onions, fry for 2 mins.

Add all powders and salt ,cook till raw smell gone.

Add tomato paste, cook for 5 mins.

Add cooked chickpeas, tamarind paste , little water and cook for 10 to 15 mins.

Switch off the flame ,once masala is coated well.

Garnish with coriander leaves & serve with chapati/roti.
